Our Home Sleep Test Options

We offer four excellent home sleep testing options that you can order directly.

Sleep Test #1 – Physician-Interpreted Home Sleep Study

This option includes one of the following devices:

Z Machine
SleepImage or NightOwl

This test includes professional interpretation by a medical specialist and, if needed, a diagnosis.

Sleep Test #2 – NightOwl (No Initial Medical Interpretation)

Sleep Test #2 is the NightOwl sleep study and is designed for individuals who want to test privately without an immediate medical interpretation.

This option was created especially for DOT truck drivers who want to check their sleep status before having any medical professional review the data. The report you receive is machine-scored and allows you to evaluate your sleep anonymously. If you later choose to have the results interpreted by a sleep specialist, that option is available.

The NightOwl works through a phone app and fits comfortably on one finger.

Sleep Test #3 – SleepImage (Multi-Night Option)

This option uses the SleepImage device. It is:

Finger-based
Capable of recording multiple nights
Suitable for adults and children as young as 2 years old

It is the only test on our site approved for young children.

Device Summary

Sleep Test #1: Z Machine, or SleepImage (physician interpretation included)
Sleep Test #2: NightOwl (machine-scored; optional interpretation later)
Sleep Test #3: SleepImage

All devices include clear, easy instructions.
The device is shipped to you, and after recording one or two nights of sleep, you return it using the prepaid label provided.

Both the NightOwl and SleepImage are worn on one finger and allow multi-night testing.

Privacy

All our sleep tests are private.

Your results will not be shared with insurance carriers, government agencies, medical examiners, or added to your medical record unless you choose to share them.

The NightOwl is our most private option. No medical professional will interpret or diagnose your study unless you specifically request it.

The NightOwl and SleepImage are excellent options for DOT trucking professionals who want to understand their sleep status before making further decisions.

For DOT Airline Pilots

If you are a DOT-regulated airline pilot, you must order the Z Machine sleep study.

The Z Machine is a more detailed (Type 2) sleep study and is required for pilots. We ship the device to you with a prepaid return label.

If you choose, we also offer expedited telemedicine diagnosis and prescription services through licensed MD, DO, and NP sleep specialists.
